Arakawa was found dead in Santa Fe’s partner, New Mexico, on Wednesday, February 26. His body was “in a state of decomposition” that included swelling on his face and Mummification in the hands and feet, Tmz reported.
Police also found Hackman’s body and the body of one of his home dogs and authorities have not determined when they died. The cause of death is also unknown and the investigation continues. Arakawa was 64 years old and Hackman 95.

Arakawa found himself in his bathroom next to a space heater that police say he could have fallen when he collapsed.

Although Arakawa also encountered a recipe bottle open on his table with pills spread around him, the recipe medication would not help the process. Other conditions that could consider whether a body decomposes or mummifies include the dryness of the air and the clothes that the individual wears. Police have not revealed if the space heater was found near Arakawa was on or what he had died.
