Having worked as a singer-songwriter and visual artist in Myanmar, Kiar Pauk used his voice to speak out against the military junta that led the coup in 2021. In an interview with FRANCE 24, he describes how, when he learned that the military authorities wanted to arrest him, he managed to escape through the jungle in Thailand. “We went through the forest for eight hours on a small bicycle,” he remembers.
