A french combes continuing to run after a police van got out of a deadly ambush arrested in Romania, said by French authorities.
Two prison officials were killed and three others were injured when a car carrying Mohamed Amra was attacked by men who used arms in military attacks on May 2024.
Amra, known as LAUCHE, or the fly, has links to a major gang gang in Marseille, according to the French police.
President Emmanuel Macron praised his arrest as “a terrible success” and said that his thoughts were with families of prison officers who were killed.
Macron also said he also wanted to “thank our European companions and French investigators who were hunting Mohamed Amra for months and months”.
The Interior Minister Minister Broilleau thanked Romania for “important cooperation”.
Amra escaped from a van in jail after the car was ambushed by the gunmen in a toll booth at about 11:00 (09:00 GMT) on 14 May do do do roou, Normandy.
Two prisoner officials were killed after rumbed and shots were shot. Three more officers were injured.

The Priest Prosecutor’s office said Amra had been convicted of a thief in an Evreux in May 10 and carried in Val-de-revuil prison to his escape May 14.
He also introduced prosecutors in Marseille for a kidnapping carrying a death, it said.
Amra is not a “good view of the inmate”, the prosecution says Laura Betcuau in time, using a term for dangerous prisoners.
However, his transportation further referred to a “level three escorts” which means five prison officers traveling with him.
His lawyer at the time, Hugues was severe, said Amra tried to escape the shopper before ambushing the bars in his cell, but he said he was shocked “and” crazy ” violence.
“It doesn’t match the impression that I have him,” the lawyer told BFMTV.
During the time, Macron said “All” was made to find guilty attacks, marking the first death of French prisoners in line of office since 1992.
More than 300 investigators are assigned to track Amra down and road roads are set in northwestern France, according to police.
