Chelsea Freemanthe wife of the Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freemanhe was excited to get home after the team’s dramatic World Series victory.
“These boys have been troopers. Let’s go back to the USA baby 🇺🇸,” Chelsea shared. via his Instagram story on Monday, Nov. 3, showing one of her boys looking out the window of a plane on the flight from Toronto to Los Angeles.
The Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in a classic Game 7 at Rogers Center in Toronto on Saturday, November 1, giving Los Angeles its second straight championship.
Freddie, 36, and Chelsea share three children: Charlie9, Brandon i maximumboth 4.
Chelsea was on hand throughout the Dodgers’ playoff run, including being in Toronto for the series win on Saturday.
“I’ve never been more nervous during a baseball game,” Chelsea said Fox 11 Los Angeles on the field after the victory. “My hands were sweaty, I was shaking. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. I feel like it makes the win extra special because we had to work so hard to get it.”
Freddie is now a three-time World Series champion (he also won as a member of the Atlanta Braves in 2021), but Chelsea called the 2025 World Series win “completely different” thanks to the stories off the field that the team lived together.

Before the start of the World Series, the Dodgers announced the pitcher Alex Vesia I would take a leave of absence to deal with it a “deeply personal family matter” involving his pregnant wife, Kayla.
“The group of guys we have on this team, and the ladies, are absolutely amazing,” Chelsea said. “They deserve it so bad. We’ve had a tough year as a Dodgers family. We really wanted to dedicate it to the Vesias. We love them and miss them.”
Chelsea explained that winning the World Series in Toronto was very emotional for Freddie, whose late mother Romaingrew up in nearby Peterborough, Ontario. Rosemary died of cancer in 2000 when Freddie was 10 years old.
“You come to the place where she was born and raised and grew up and was in Toronto a lot, you just feel a little closer to her,” Freddie said during World Series Media Day before the start of the series. “I think that’s why coming back here is so special to me. It just makes me feel like I’m closer to my mom.”
Freddie added: “I only had 10 years with her and only about four years of memories. Those are the little ones I love, and she always seemed to be around Canadian things.”
Blue Jays fans were kind to Freddie throughout the series, but he admitted he was ready for anything.
“I understand if I get booed,” Freeman said. “I understand. I’m on the visiting team. But Canada and this country mean a lot to my family and to me. I’m very happy to be back here.”
The Freemans returned to California ahead of the team’s victory parade and rally, which is scheduled for Monday in downtown Los Angeles.
