Frank Grillo it’s killing him
The 60-year-old actor has been gracing our screens in some of the most iconic TV shows and movies to date, and in some ways, 2025 is his biggest year yet.
“When you get the job and you do it, relax. And relax with everyone else,” Grillo exclusively said. Us Weekly of how he would counsel his younger self as he reflected on his monumental career. “Give everyone a break. You don’t need to be so overtly intense all the time, it’s no use. That’s what I’d tell young Frank.”
Grillo continued, “That’s what I learned. Now I’m the opposite.”
Although he’s calm, cool and collected off camera, Grillo spent part of 2025 returning as Kansas City mob boss Bill Bevilaqua for Season 3 of King Tulsa (and yes will return in season 4). It also appeared in one of the most talked about television moments, perhaps ever Peacemaker season 2 episode 6
This particular installment of the HBO show, which aired in September, featured Rick Flag Sr. de Grillo making a surprise visit to Nicholas HoultLex Luther in prison.

“He says, ‘No, you have no idea.’ You’re aligning yourself with Lex Luther… He kind of educated me a little bit,” Grillo said, offering me. we some behind-the-scenes secrets. Grillo and Hoult actually filmed the Peacemaker scene while they were at the Superman set (Superman hit theaters in July, while Peacemaker season 2 premiered the following month.)
“It was really taken out of context for me,” Grillo explained. “We hadn’t fired Peacemaker still, it was very interesting. It’s a relationship that will affect the future of this world.”
Grillo promised we who “literally” has no idea where the story is going, sorry DC Comics fans. One thing he does know, though, is that there’s still no chance for Rick Flag Sr. have white hair (The animated version of the character previously sported white hair, while the live-action version of Grillo has kept his dark locks.)
“The reason I couldn’t do it was because I was shooting King Tulsa at the same time, and there was a crossover,” he explained. “We tried everything. We tried a temporary dye, but nothing would come off fast enough.”
said Grillo Peacemaker director James Gunn Earlier this year, if there is a third season of the HBO show, she wanted to dye her hair.
“He said, ‘No, you can’t.’ He said, ‘You haven’t heard about the plans?'” Grillo recalled. “Nobody told me about the plans. He’s like, ‘Yeah, you can’t dye your hair yet.’ That’s all I know.”
apart from King Tulsa i Peacemakerthere is that very specific corner of the internet that knows Grillo as retired MMA fighter Alvey Kulina in kingdomwhich aired on Audience Network from 2014 to 2017.

Us Weekly has been defending the show resurgence since Septemberwhen Grillo first revealed that he, along with executive producer Byron Balasco and former co-star Jonathan Tuckerhad discussed how to get the boys back together. Not too many updates to share yet though.
“We put our foot down to see if people are still interested. Globally, and it’s the power of Netflix, it’s kind of unanimous. People really dug the show,” Grillo said. “We’re going to come back to that and see if there’s a version of the final eight episodes, we’re going to be alone with the three guys that are left and what happens.”
He added: “If we could come up with a great story, we’ll try to take it forward.
As for where is Alvey now? Grillo knows exactly what his character has been up to since that heartbreaking series finale. (Spoiler alert, Alvey is dealing with the death of his son Nate, played by Nick Jonasin the show’s final episode.)
“In my imagination, it’s like somewhere where Rambo he was in the woods somewhere, cutting down a tree years later, and they go looking for him,” Grillo said. “That’s how I see it unfolding. Alvey is out in the desert somewhere after taking massive amounts of psychedelics and someone comes looking for him, and chaos ensues.”
If they bring him back, Grillo just wants “closure” for the characters.
“There’s got to be an exciting story to tell and there’s got to be a fight,” he said. “I think there’s a good story to be had. . . . I’d love nothing more than to do that.”
