Lamar Odom has checked into a rehabilitation center below his DUI arrest earlier this month.
The 46-year-old retired NBA player “made a personal decision” to enter a 30-day treatment program at the iRely recovery facility in Los Angeles to “reboot and focus on his health,” Odom’s manager Gina Rodriguez he said Us Weekly in a statement on Wednesday, January 28. (TMZ was the first to report the news.)
“After a recent incident, he took a step back to reflect and address the triggers that he’s been dealing with,” Rodriguez said of Odom. “He’s taking full responsibility and choosing to be proactive about his well-being.”
The statement concluded: “Lamar is grateful for the support and is committed to moving forward in a healthy and positive way.”
Odom’s rehab stint comes next we confirmed earlier this month that he was arrested in Las Vegas on January 17.

Odom was granted bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 17 in the case.
Over the past decade, Odom has spoken about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction following his near-fatal overdose in 2015.
Odom overdosed on cocaine and opiates while in a legal brothel in Las Vegas that left him in a coma. He later revealed that he had suffered 12 strokes and two heart attacks after taking the drugs.
At the time, Odom was going through a divorce Khloé Kardashianwho pressed the pause in the legal case to be by his side during his recovery. (she initially filed for divorce in 2013 after marrying in 2009. Kardashian, 41, re-introduced in May 2016 after Odom was released from the hospital and completed that year.)

I wanted to go out and have fun,” Odom exclusively remembered a we in March 2017 of what led to the overdose. “Looking back, I might have had a drink to set the mood, but was I drunk or on drugs? Not at all. I remember being in bed. Two women were in bed and then I fell asleep. That’s it. When I woke up four days later, I was trying to get the tubes out of my mouth.”
The former athlete called himself a “walking miracle” after the near-death experience. Odom noted that he was surprised to see Kardashian commit to helping him get better even though they were separated.
“That was the first thing I saw. He said, ‘Hi, Mookah,'” Odom said we of waking up with kardashian. “‘Mookah’ is a name my mother used to call me. She said it to let me know I wasn’t dead. It played a big part in me getting my memory back.”
Odom explained that Kardashian found out she was using cocaine in 2011 and that reckless drug use played a role in their divorce.
“Lamar was and is definitely someone that I felt was the love of my life,” Kardashian revealed in a February 2025 episode. The Kardashians. “I got married at 24 and even though he and I got married 30 days after the day we met, I loved him with all my heart and soul. I took my vows very seriously and I got married for about seven years. But there were bigger things that couldn’t be fixed in that marriage.”
Odom, meanwhile, took a moment to reflect on his road to addiction, saying we in May 2019“I’m pretty sure I’m probably still dealing with (childhood trauma).”
He pointed to his rough upbringing as one of the reasons why it turned into substance abuse.
“We take a 12-year-old boy and take his mother away, I mean, those are words that are still healing, if they ever heal, I’m lucky. I’m just here to bear witness that life is worth living,” Odom concluded.
