A former FBI special agent is sharing her assessment after investigators revealed new surveillance photos of a potential suspect in Nancy Guthriethe continuous disappearance.
“A couple of things that stand out to me (are) that you don’t see a vehicle in the background,” Tracy Walderalso former CIA officer, shared exclusively with Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 10. “Whoever got here was dropped off, which would have been a ping, but either they were dropped out of the camera’s view, they walked, they biked, or whatever. I think that’s the first thing we’re seeing.”
Walder continued, “I think the second thing that we’re seeing and what these videos are telling me is what I’ve been saying from the beginning. This was definitely targeted and definitely planned.”
Early on, the director of the FBI Kash Patel shared photos and videos showing an “armed individual” who appeared to “have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door on the morning of her disappearance.”

The footage showed a person standing in the driveway of Nancy’s home in Tucson, Arizona, wearing a ski mask, backpack and gloves as he appeared to try to cover up a security camera before completely dismantling it.
“This person, in my opinion, intended to kidnap her because in the backpack — I believe — there were things to subdue or restrain her, one of the two,” Walder, who is not part of the ongoing investigation, shared with we. “It can be many different things. It can be rope, ties, handcuffs, a blanket.”

Courtesy of NBC NewsAfter viewing the footage, Walder believes that there does indeed appear to be a gun in the individual’s waistband.
Walder also noted how dark the neighborhood was at the time of the alleged abduction, adding, “They have a local regulation that reduces light pollution. . . . The lights can’t be above a certain emission level. It’s pitch black.”
Nancy, 84, was last seen on January 31 after attending dinner with family members. She was reported missing the next day after she failed to meet with friends to see her on Sunday church service virtually
Although it’s been more than a week since Nancy was last seen alive, Walder doesn’t believe law enforcement authorities withheld videos and images from the public.
“They have to go through these companies and through privacy laws to get data to the backend,” Walder explained. “This doesn’t happen overnight, and it looks like they literally received it this morning and turned it around and sent it out right now. This is not a conspiracy to keep the videos out of the public. I truly believe they received them and want to get them to the widest possible audience.”
Shortly after the FBI shared the images, Nancy’s daughter, Savannah Guthrie, posted the pictures to her 1.7 million Instagram followers.
“We think she’s still alive. Bring her home,” Savannah wrote on social media. “Anyone with information please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department 520-351-4900.”

Now that the images have been made public, Walder believes researchers are analyzing the images even more closely to determine the individual’s height, weight, gender and other potentially identifying characteristics.
Detectives also want the public’s help in identifying the individual who may have clues about what happened to Nancy.
“Is there anybody in the audience who recognizes this jacket? Is there anybody in the audience who recognizes this backpack? Is that my friend who has this backpack? What the hell? I’m going to call the FBI,” Walder said. “That’s what I think they’re looking for. . . . When I was an agent, that’s what we would do if we couldn’t rest. We’re going to get that out and our techs will take care of the rest because that’s going to take time.”
