Ben and Christina have mostly kept their relationship out of the spotlight, including details of their 2023 wedding.
“Last month, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family, I married my best friend and it was the most incredible day of my life,” said the former Bachelor Nation star. he wrote via Instagram in November 2023. “You brought me tears and laughter and I have never felt so present with another person in my life. I am so grateful to do life with you and thank you for your unwavering love and support.”
Ben rose to fame in 2011 during Ashley Hebertseason 7 of The bachelorettewhere he came out as runner-up. The winemaker later directed his own season of The Bachelor, which aired in 2012. While Ben proposed as a finalist Courtney Robertson during the season 16 finale, they broke up several months later. (Robertson, 42, is now married to Humberto Preciadowith whom he shares three children.)
Three years after their split, Robertson broke down her side of the story in an explanatory memoir.
“I wasn’t happy with the book. I didn’t read the book. I flipped through it,” Ben later explained exclusively Us Weekly in July 2021. “People do things for different reasons: who knows, you know, what was going on at the time. Since then, we’ve made up. We’re good. We’re great. We probably didn’t talk for six years after that book came out and then I came along and extended the olive branch.”
Ben said more we that Robertson is also on good terms with his sister.
“He still talks to my sister a lot,” she said we “They’re still really nice. I think she’s happy living in Scottsdale, at least that’s the way it looks. And, you know, Courtney was always a really nice person, deep down. She got a pretty rough deal with (villain) editing.”
While Ben stressed that he was happy to see his ex-girlfriend find her Happily Ever After, he was navigating the trenches of the single life at the time.
“Me sporadically go to the hinge from time to timeso yeah, I guess I’m on the apps,” Ben said at the time. “Now I live in Sonoma, which is a pretty small town and that makes dating pretty difficult. … If I go on a bunch of first dates in the town of Sonoma, everyone’s probably going to assume I’m the Bachelor again, which I’m not.”
Ben further revealed that he had even been approached to appear Baccalaureate in Paradise.
“I’ve been asked to do it five times,” he said. “My director at the time, Adam Mansfield, is working on this show now, so it’s always coming up and I’m too busy. I have too many projects and companies and I’m too old.”
Sometime after turning down the beach spin-off Bachelor Nation, Ben found love with Christina.
