This is something that I think I can bring and bring value to and make it exciting and different,'” Martinez said. we. “I liked that she was different than Kate on Law & Order: SVU. I really like that Eva comes from a tax background, so she’s very much someone who isn’t afraid to speak her mind and isn’t afraid to be the smartest person in the room. She’s unashamed about that and she’s unashamedly feminine and tough and has a big heart.”
According to Martínez, Eva’s backstory will keep playing
“I think trust is something that probably has to be earned (with her), whether she likes to say it or not. He was so smart and he’s always been doing the right thing and he couldn’t see the person he was in bed with taking it out. It’s a deep wound.”
Eva is still adjusting to her new normal, and Martínez added, “That resistance or that struggle is really interesting with someone who prides himself on knowing everything before everyone else. That does create a little bit of humility for him. It also creates the ability to learn to really take it as a challenge and as an adventure.”
As for Eva’s personal life? Martinez not ruled out a romance
“We’re going to see some romance this season. I won’t say who, but we’re going to see some romance,” he teased. “(For Eva), I think her heart is resilient enough to find love. So I hope so.”
