The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is sharing an update on the investigation Nancy Guthrie‘s disappearance.
“The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie,” the Pima County Sheriff said. Chris Nanos he said in a statement via X on Friday, February 6. “Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for authenticity.”
Although the authorities did not provide additional information, the local press 13 News they claimed they received a new message about Nancy’s disappearance and forwarded the message to law enforcement.
“Although this is new information, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI,” Nanos’ latest statement continued. “The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”

In the last days, Nancy’s children, included Savannah, annie i Cameron Guthriehave made videos apparently addressing a potential rescue.
In one Instagram video released on Wednesday, February 4, Savannah appeared alongside her siblings and addressed reports of an alleged ransom letter to the media.
“As a family, we’re doing everything we can. We’re willing to talk,” he said. “However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are willing to listen. Please contact us.”

FBI Special Agent Heath Janke previously confirmed in a press conference that the FBI is aware of an alleged ransom letter sent to the media, noting that “any action taken on any ransom is ultimately decided by the family.” He also revealed that the FBI arrested an “impostor” who was trying to “profit” the case with a fake, separate ransom note.

Janke noted that the alleged ransom note had an initial deadline of 5 p.m. on February 5, which is around the same time Camron posted his video. If this deadline is not met, the note was offered on Monday, February 9 as a second option.
Throughout the investigation, Savannah has asked for the public’s help in locating her mother. The today The show coach also expressed his wishes for people to join in praying for the Guthrie family to be reunited with Nancy.
