Evangeline Lilly ‘spent a lot of money’ to ‘remediate brain deficiencies’


Evangeline Lilly is opening up about her costly treatment following a traumatic brain injury.

“I’ve spent a lot of money getting evaluated and getting expert advice on how to heal my brain,” Lilly, 46, he wrote via Instagram In a post on Saturday, January 24, she captioned it, “Restore Your Brain’s Health: Part 1!”

“Not everyone can afford to do this,” the Marvel star admitted in the caption. “This advice was for me specifically and may not be the exact right path for everyone. I’m not a doctor or an authority on all of this. But with the lack of affordable medical care in this country, I’m sharing some of the advice I’ve been given.”

In the post, Lilly shared a video in which she went into more and more detail about her supplement regimen, which she says is helping her “remediate the deficiencies in my brain right now.”

“Okay, so I’m having the experts tell me how to remedy my brain’s deficiencies right now,” the actress begins in the video. “I consider myself one of the extraordinarily lucky people in this country who can take care of my body the way it needs to be taken care of without money getting in the way.”

She continued, “And so I want to share what I’m learning from them in case any of you are also experiencing repercussions from a TBI, a concussion and want to take care of your brain but don’t know how.”

Lilly then broke down her daily supplement regimen, which includes NAC, or free amino acids, creatine for breakfast on an empty stomach so it “gets into the bloodstream,” omega-3s for overall brain health, an anti-inflammatory, and an antioxidant.

“It’s obviously a lot of supplements and I, as a general note on supplements, I don’t take supplements on a daily basis,” he continued in the video. “I take them as needed, so I’ll be on these supplements for as long as I see fit.”

On January 3, Lilly revealed that she suffered brain damage as a result of a recent concussion.

“It’s late January 1st, the first day of 2026, and I’m entering this new year, the year of the horse, with some bad news about my concussion,” he said via an Instagram video at the time. “The results came back from the scans and I was missing all the areas, and my brain is functioning at a reduced capacity.”

Lilly added at the time, “So I have brain damage from the TBI and possibly other factors.”

A traumatic brain injury, according to the Cleveland Clinicis defined as a head injury caused by an external force.

“Now, it’s my job to get to the bottom of it with the doctors and then take on the hard work of fixing it,” the actress continued at the time. “I’m not looking forward to it because I feel like hard work is all I do. It’s okay, my cognitive decline since breaking my face has helped slow me down and helped me have a calmer, more finished 2025. That’s good.”
