“It’s late January 1, the first day of 2026, and I’m entering this new year, the year of the horse, with some bad news about my concussion,” Lilly, 46, said on Friday, January 2. She continued, “So I have brain damage from the TBI and possibly other factors.”

“Now, my job is to get to the bottom of this with the doctors and then get down to the hard work of fixing it.” the actress said Friday. “I’m not looking forward to it because I feel like hard work is all I do. It’s okay, my cognitive decline since breaking my face has helped slow me down and helped me have a calmer, more accomplished 2025.”
According to Lilly, the end of the year featured the “smoothest” holiday season she’s had in years.
“That’s good,” he added. “(I) feel extraordinarily grateful and blessed to be able to play one more day, one more year on this beautiful living planet. my concussion update. Thank you all for caring.”
In the caption of her social media update, Lilly confirmed that she had been seeking medical answers for some time following her injury.
“I’m comforted to know my cognitive decline isn’t just perimenopause, it’s uncomfortable knowing what an uphill battle it will be to try to reverse the impairments,” Lilly wrote Friday. “Thank you all for always asking, for always caring and for your continued prayers.”
As Lilly works to recover, she has the support of her famous friends.
