As we went to the NATO Summit in Hague, the unrest all around us: the trembling of war, challenged behaviors and old security. In these times of testing, Germany and France – with our friends in Europe and transatlantic and allies – strong, to protect our citizens’ securities and security.

We will increase our support to the Ukrainian armed forces. We invest together in the Ukrainian defense industry. In addition, we, in order of the UK, ensure that Ukraine’s future military is very large and equipped to prevent any new invasion.
But what our responsibilities are shown in Ukraine. We can live for the visible future future in a deep plot, and in a world where our allies have other dilemmas and priorities. More than Russia, there are many challenges to face, from terrorism to protect our territories, citizens and interests around the world. We need to get up in these challenges. Not because someone asks us, but because we are obvious and debt for our citizens to do so.
France and Germany now spend more than 2 percent of their GDP in defense. We’ll be backwards, with the intention, finally, at the turn of 3.5 percent of core defense expenditures and 1.5 percent of wider effort. It is our way of strengthening the pillar of NATO.
French and German forces have been deployed at Eastern Firen in Europe, as “rounds of countries” in Lithuania and Romania. Our troops make important contributions to Poland and Estonia, in the Baltic seas and the Mediterranean, and the European Airspace, supporting intelligence, surgery in alliance.
Further costs allow us to fill in the gaps in military capability, facing a Russian revision. We will work with all allies to keep our posture’s credibility in all domains.
Nuclear control will remain a stone corner of Alliance security. French nuclear forces of nuclear forces contribute to NATO’s overall security; And Germany contributed to the arraring of the Alliance nuclear. In addition, we will work toward a reform of our acquisition systems by applying “Three S’s”: Standardization, Suban.
We will also work to ensure good co-operation between EU and NATO. Strong and more competent in European defense is positively contributed to global and transatlantic security and the same complete with NATO.
