Europe needs an overhaul of infrastructure to combat summer heat waves, the expert says




With more and more frequent and more intense summer heat, Europe must review its city infrastructure in order to engage in growing temperatures, said Dr. Chloe Brimicombe, air conditioning scientist in the Royal Meteorological Society. Brimkombe said that Europe must invest in “urban planning” and “increasing natural ventilation” to help its citizens brave summer months on the continent, adding that such investments require policy changes.
