
Pressure is mounting on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as the government prepares to release documents that reveal officials were aware of Peter Mendelsohn’s links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when he was appointed Britain’s ambassador to the United States. Mendelssohn resigned from the role last September after the full affair with Epstein emerged, and has since resigned from the House of Lords and this week was kicked out of the Labor Party. He now also faces the possibility of a police investigation over allegations he leaked sensitive information while serving as trade secretary in 2008.
