Ski Sports’ Michael Atherton said that the English ball attack looked “rusty” as they tested in the test series against India to Headelia on the opening day.
After inserting Ben Stokes (2-43) in Bag, India leaned on 359-3 stumps one of the first test against insufficiently cooked England.
Chris Voikes (0-89) missed the victory in Zimbabwe last month, as he recovered from an ankle, Bridon Carse (1-70) – that he had his own new Zealand’s winter tour, “playing Josh (0-75) first.
“Today it was a struggle for English bowling, if the truth is said,” Atherton said. “They looked a little rusty.
“It is a type of soil and terrain where you want to be very special about your lengths.
“It was just a short rafal just before lunch when England took two fast wickets, but besides, everything was in favor of the stick today.”
Former former Captain of England Naser Hussain was also critical to a series of England as they fought a day.
“There is no length control, especially,” Hussain said. “It seemed a little before lunch, he swung a little, but I think they were knocking on the top of the shutdown (line) that would like the tramps, coaches and bowlers.
“After lunch, she became flattery. And with this extraordinary field, if you miss a little control with the ball, you can quickly lose it on the field, driving speed can be taken from you.
“Stokes certainly didn’t hope to do this, and the reason she received India because England was slightly from their line and length and paid the price.”
Carse took one vicket for his 16 exhausts, while Stokes was placed with other two from her 13, because at least the pattern and fitness captain of England can be taken as positive than the Lids’s procedure.
“Stokes is the best Bowler England today,” Atherton added.
“It was placed in front of the game not playing English Lions (against India a), playing only one first game of Zimbabwe – and said he came out of that tested match feeling good and did not feel the need to feel an extra match.
“The week was breathed by either side of that test to try to return to the bowling action he had when he felt that he was in the bowling at best, which was about 2020. Years.
“He looked at the attractive good rhythm in that Zimbabwe match when he did, which was not very much. Short spells that he still looked really good I thought I thought I thought so well.”
Atherton also questioned that Stokes decision to insert India into a dry terrain and said it was a “interesting” call as a different issue, especially after the hosts managed only three scalp.
“It was a really interesting call (on throwing). All numbers say that the ball – the last six victories came from the bowling team,” Atherton added.
“But the cricketing of common sense says it’s a hot day and it’s 30 degrees over the next few days.
“I think it’s in the end, Ben went with the statistics, what the terrain here did in Headu’s this year – she did not worsen in county games – and also the strength of England: they don’t bother them not to bother.”
