“There are still concerns” and “more questions that replies” over English after a 3-2 T20i series series, according to Ski Sports’ Charles Dagnall.
England won two of the last three matches under stand-in skipper Tammy Beaumont including Triller of the last ball in the final dead tire on Saturday in EdgbastonAfter injury to the groin of Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.
Pressed for its “winners” and “losers” from the English series, Dagnall called Sciver-Brunt as one of the last – with ASICE CAPSEI, with Beaumont, who impresses in her absence, while Massera and Lauren and Lauren Filer greets.
“I think when you look at the series as a whole, I think more questions are asked about the answer,” Dagnall said. “I think there are still concerns.
“I actually think it’s in a bizarre way, Nat Sciver-Brunt is in all this loser. I look at her captain in the field, I think he looks panic. I think it looks a little confused.
“I was worried about when he took Knight Heather, like (2022) of the Commonwealth matches or the second part of the west India (2024 Tactically as tactically like Tamic Beaumont – was good (the captain was one of the winners.
“She was one of those players who were outside of the T20 team, while now I think it was in the conversation at the beginning of the KSI moving forward.”
“Sciver-Brunty takes time, approved, but again she also played hell of a lot of cricket.
“I also think Alice Capsi is currently in a little without anything. What is her best position? And her field setting is for her. The English field is mostly a large area of concern.”
Dagnall: Filer and Dean have play
In praise of bells and fillers – they were both resting in the five-shout in the final T20i in front of the OD Match series – Dagnall called to the English game later to play with the world’s house in India and world slim t20 next summer.
“I think there were really good things, especially Lauren Bell Bowling and Lauren Filler – they were superb,” Dagnall said
“The filer must play for me. I think he has to play all formats, all competitions for England; it makes sense to a difference with an additional pace.
“Charlie Dean is another. There must be one of the first names on the team. It has a great cricket nous, she is a very smart bowler and its three disciplines are excellent.”
‘England will keep hands over mistakes’
England Seamer Kate Cross, part of the broadcasting sports’ for the fifth T20I:
“England had a hard series, but we talked a lot about moments under pressure and how we deal with them – we felt like we shouldn’t get down to the last ball (in Edgbaston) – and we covered it too.
“The more times you get over those moments as well and get to the right, you’ll improve in them and you’ll think about it in them.
“From the point of view in England, we didn’t perform, we couldn’t do in series, even the games we’ve won.
“I don’t think they underestimated India, but I don’t think the performance levels from the English team were high enough to compete with India at the best.
“Charlotte Edwards came three months ago for four months ago, so the early days is still.
“I saw a quote Tammy Beaumont about this team is in transition. I think the team is not because a group of players is generally the same, but it is in transition in terms of playing under Lottie (Edwards).
“It’s obviously disappointing. The team will keep the hands and made the same mistakes in a few games, but they want to be evaluated by T20 World Cup next year – which England will be under pressure to win.”
