Emma Radukanu broke up with coach Francis Roig after only six months of working with the Spaniard.
Raducanu’s decision comes a week after her exit in the second round of the Australian Open.
The 23-year-old confirmed her split with Roig, who previously coached Rafael Nadal, in an Instagram post on Thursday.
He wrote to Radučan: “Francis, thank you for the time we spent together. You were more than a coach to me and I will cherish the many good moments we spent together on the field.”
“Although we have come to the conclusion together that we should not move forward, please know that I am very grateful for everything you have taught me and that I love our time together.”
