Talking to Steven also made Emma realize how strong her connections were with Mike, 30, and Connor, 32.
“I couldn’t tell the two apart. I cared about both equally, for many different reasons, but the connections were very strong for both of them,” Emma said. we “I think with Mike, I always knew (in my gut) that it was Mike because he was challenging me. We had great conversations, (and) when I said something he was like, ‘But why do you believe that?’
As Emma’s feelings for Mike and Connor grew stronger, she was torn about who her best match was.
“I said, ‘I’m confused. I’m talking to two people,'” Emma said. “I literally told Mike. I said, ‘I can’t decide. I don’t know what’s going on.'” Mike said:Keep going out. Look, I’m always here. … I made sure I never crossed paths with each person and made sure it was the person I was dating at the time.”
With Connor, Emma admitted that he was “so much fun.”
“We have the best joke, great comedy,” he recalled. “It was funny, how the hours went by so quickly with him.”
Connor eventually broke up with Emma to pursue the eventual fiancée Brianna McNeese.
“Navigating the breakup felt like a real breakup because we had feelings for each other, and I thought it could have gone further,” Emma said. “To navigate that, and then immediately go on a date with Mike after he was like, ‘Oh, that’s a lot to juggle.’ But yeah, they’re both great guys.”
in the end, Mike proposed to Emma before meeting in person.
“At the end, and I went to Cabo with Mike, and just being with him, I felt a sense of calm and (safety) and security with him,” she said. “(He) had all the makings of a future partner when we started, like, continuing to grow our love in Mexico.”
