Dundee 0 – 1 Hearts

Ten-man Hearts held on against a stubborn Dundee side to claim a narrow victory to maintain their lead in the Scottish Premiership title race.

Derek McInnes wants to make “every game count” in their bid to end the Old Firm’s top-flight dominance, and Alexander Schwallow was quickly called into action to deny Billy Koumeti as Dundee looked to extend their winning run to four.

Hearts scored first, but not without frustrating the hosts. Claudio Braga shot low past the post from 20 yards as Dundee claimed the ball was rolling as Cammy Delevingne took a quick free-kick in the build-up.

Shvolov brought down Toni Jogane outside the penalty area as half time approached. The goalkeeper thought he had been saved by an offside flag but was shown red by the referee after being sent to the monitor.

Craig Gordon took his place in the Hearts goal for the first time this season and immediately denied Dundee. The 43-year-old then managed to defend the world class in the referee’s time to keep his title on track.

More to come.
