George and Amal Clooney, two of the worst political forecasters of all time, have officially become citizens of France, which unfortunately is in the midst of a major crime problem due to its absolutely horrible handling of immigration, just like we did with Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump, 79, shared via his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, December 31.

Trump referenced a 2024 op-ed written by Clooney, 64, who urged Joe Biden give up the presidential race and allow Kamala Harris to run against Trump.

“Remember when Clooney, after the now infamous debate, dumped Joe during a fundraiser, only to go with another stellar candidate, Jamala (K!) who is now fighting the worst governor in the country, including Tim Waltz, Gavin Newscum, over who will lead the Democrats to their future defeat,” Trump wrote.

In late December news broke that George and his wife, Amal Clooneythey were granted French citizenship along with his 8-year-old twinsAlexander and Ella.

“I knew him very well,” she said variety in an interview published on Tuesday, December 30. “He used to call me a lot, and once he tried to help me get into the hospital to see a back surgeon. I’d see him in clubs and restaurants.”

Trump first took office in 2016 and was elected once again in 2024. “He’s a big nut,” George claimed. “Well, it was. Everything changed.”

Despite facing blows from the Oval Office, George and Amal, 47, hope to settle down with their children abroad. The actor spoke frankly about it wanting to raise their children out of the Hollywood spotlight.

“You know, we live on a farm in France. A good part of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid, I hated the whole idea,” George said.
