Donald Trump gave a month of revision of the imports of imports from Mexico and Canada, the White House said.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the President of the United States talked to Stellantis, Ford and General Motors last Wednesday.
Leavitt added that the exemption is available in cars following the terms of 2020 part of the trade between the US, Mexico and Canada.
“The President gave them an exemption a month so that they were not in a bad economy,” Leavitt said.
Steps come days after the Trump administration imposes 25 per cent tariffs from Canada and Mexico, and additional 10 percent levy in China.
