Dolly Parton offers an emotional honor to his late husband, Carl Thomas Dean, who died earlier this week.
The country’s artist releases a new song titled, if you’re not there, in an Instagram post on Friday.
“I fell in love with Carl Dean when I was 18 years old,” Varia wrote. “We have spent 60 precious and meaningful years together. Like all the many love stories, they do not finish the star of my story, and he dedicated the star of my story.”
The pair is united in six decades before he died on Monday ages 82.
His voice shook while singing new song, “If you weren’t there / where I was? / If your confidence, love, and trust” is not.

The track cover includes an old picture showing the parton in his arms wrapped in Dean.
The Parton, 79, expressed his gratitude for the support of fans after his husband’s death.
“It’s a remember to remember family, friends, and fans,” he wrote on Instagram last Thursday. “Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you’ve sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband carl. I can’t reach out personally to each of you but just know it with that. I will always love you.” I will always love you. “
The singer, known to songs like 9-5 and Jelene, met Dean outside the laundromat of the first day he reached Nashville as an 18-year-old yearly singer.
“I was surprised and happy that as he talked to me, he looked at my face (a wonderful thing for me),” Varia said when remembering their first meeting.

They live a private life – Dean is rarely seen in public – and no children are together.
