Sean “Diddy” Combs he was greeted by at least one familiar face at the prison after being transferred to Fort Dix in New Jersey.
Diddy, 55, was photographed talking to a friend and former NBA player Sebastian Telfairfor photographs obtained by TMZ on Monday, November 3. Diddy and Telfair, 40, were seen chatting in the prison yard.
Both Telfair and Diddy wore standard gray hoodies with blue coats. The rapper opted for a beanie to cover his head. Diddy could be seen sporting a gray beard.
This was Diddy’s first time there seen publicly following his arrest in September 2024. Diddy was arrested last year on charges of sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution and racketeering conspiracy. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and denied all allegations.

No cameras were allowed inside the courtroom during the rapper’s trial in July, so the footage was produced by a court cartoonist. Diddy’s trial ended with a jury finding him guilty of two counts of transportation. He was acquitted of the two remaining, more serious charges, including sex trafficking and extortion.
After Diddy was found partially guilty, his lawyers immediately requested his release from federal prison. Diddy was denied bail several times before and after the trial.
“His family is here and he could post bail,” Diddy’s lawyer said Marc Agnifilo he told the judge after the verdict was read. “He should be released today.”
Diddy’s legal team also submitted a formal letter to the judge asking that the producer return to his Miami Beach home while awaiting sentencing.
“Since his arrest and detention on September 17, 2024, Mr. Combs has obeyed the Court, respected these procedures and demonstrated exemplary behavior at the MDC,” the letter obtained by Us Weekly to read “And today, the jury unequivocally rejected the government’s allegations that Mr. Combs ran a criminal enterprise for years or engaged in sex trafficking, the core of the government’s case. Mr. Combs is convicted on two Mann Act counts, and his exposure at sentencing is substantially less than when the government initially sought detention.”
Last month, judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Diddy to 50 months in prison. The additional year he has already spent in prison at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn will count toward his overall sentence. Diddy was transferred to Fort Dix in New Jersey on Thursday, October 30.

Diddy is he is expected to be released in May 2028. He is subject to five years of supervised release. The music mogul was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine.
Telfair is in prison for violating the terms of his supervised release in a health care fraud case. The basketball player was accused of making false statements to the league’s health and wellness benefits plan. He pleaded guilty to the charges in March 2023 and was sentenced to three years of probation.
Telfair failed to complete court-ordered community service and failed to report to a probation officer. He was sentenced to six months behind bars and reported to prison in August 2025.
