Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and more beloved faces are taking center stage The Devil Wears Prada 2 trailer
Hathaway, 43, and Streep, 76, have their long-awaited reunion as Andy Sachs and Miranda Priestly in 20th Century Studies’ Sunday, February 1, trailer, where Andy returns Airstrip magazine as news editor. But while fans have been waiting for the pair to reconnect, Miranda couldn’t be less excited.
“I’m sorry, who is this? Do you know her? Do I know her?” Miranda asks by Stanley Tucci Nigel, who reminds him that Andy was “one of the Emilys” from the first film. “One of the what?” Miranda answers.
Andy also runs into his old nemesis Emily (Blunt), who asks if he’s having a “hallucination.”
“You know what’s funny? You’ve changed. You’re a lot more confident,” Emily says later, making Andy smile before adding, “You kept those eyebrows though, didn’t you?”
The film, directed by David Frankelfollows Andy’s return to Airstrip while Miranda navigates a new media landscape. The pair soon reconnect with Emily, now the head of a luxury brand, who can help her once-dominant boss with her struggling brand.
based on Lauren Weisbergerthe 2003 novel of the same name, The Devil Wears Prada became an instant classic in 2006, when fans were first introduced to recent graduate and aspiring journalist Andy after she landed a role as Miranda’s assistant in Airstrip magazine Andy struggles to juggle Miranda’s requests before finally calling it quits.
Years later, rumors began swirling about a sequel, which was officially confirmed for 2025. Eagle-eyed fans spotted several cast members. rolling during the summerwith Tucci returning to reprise his role as Miranda’s right-hand man, Nigel, and Blunt returning as Emily.
The film will also see several newcomers including Kenneth Branaghwho will play Miranda’s new husband. Simon Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, Caleb Hearon, Rachel Bloom i Patrick Brammall have also been confirmed as cast members.
Andy’s ex-boyfriend, Nate, played by Adrian Grenierwon’t be back for the sequel though Weekly entertainment reported in 2025.
Hathaway, meanwhile, opened up filming the long-awaited sequel during an interview with Vogue published on Sunday.
“I heard on the radio, ‘Miranda Priestly is walking,'” Hathaway said. “Meryl, like Miranda, had started down the hall in front of me, I was maybe 50 feet behind her, and seeing her from behind was almost psychedelic. I felt a lot of portals open in that moment. I was 22 again, but it was still now. Fortunately, this time, she didn’t stay in character the whole time, so we had a lot of laughs.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters May 1, 2026.
