Desmond Scott He is apparently preparing to start a new chapter in his life after his wife separated Kristy Scott filed for divorce.
In a video shared via Instagram on Sunday, January 18, Desmond was seen placing various kitchen appliances and utensils inside the cupboards of a kitchen. After apparently unpacking, Desmond went to the grocery store to pick up some produce.
At the end of the clip, Desmond was seen back in the kitchen and staring off into the distance for a moment before leaving.
“Back in the kitchen this week😏,” she captioned the post, adding in the comments section: “Also, I’ve read all the messages and you have no idea how much you love me boy 🫶🏽🙂↕️.”
Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Kristy, who goes by Kristy Sarah online, filed for divorce of Desmond in December 2025. Kristy and Desmond, who married in 2014, are parents to sons Vance and Westin.
In her presentation, Kristy cited the alleged infidelity as the reason for their separation, and noted that there is no possibility of reconciliation for the two. Kristy and Desmond “would soon cease to live together as husband and wife,” the filing notes. Us Weekly asked for comment at the time.
Desmond broke his silence on Kristy’s divorce filing on Jan. 10 in a lengthy statement on Instagram.
“I want to start by apologizing to Kristy, our family and everyone who has been affected by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote at the time. “I know this news has been disappointing to many and I am sorry for the hurt it has caused.”
Desmond continued, “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I am fully committed to being an active, present and loving parent to our children, as I have always been.”
Desmond went on to note that he made “choices” that he was “not proud of.”
“I took responsibility for these actions,” he wrote. “I shared this with her directly and personally, and we ultimately decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter in our lives.”
Meanwhile, Kristy has yet to publicly address her divorce filing or Desmond’s statement. She has, however, been active on social media. On Wednesday, January 14, Kristy alluded to her current living situation, writing via Instagram: “Same address.”
the next day, TMZ obtained footage of Desmond in a bar in Houston, Texas, kissing a mystery woman on her lap. Us Weekly asked for comment at the time. we later confirmed that the woman in the video is 24 years old Marissa Springer. (TMZ was the first to report).
Following Kristy’s divorce filing, some fans have speculated that the TikToker hinted at her split from Desmond in December 2025. Kristy then shared a TikTok of her cooking fight. Users pointed out that Desmond, who is a chef, tends to take care of the kitchen duties.
“She’s cooking and he used to do all the cooking so it makes sense,” one user wrote in the comments section, while another claimed: “I remember when she said she’ll never learn how to cook because she married a chef… now she’s learning… it’s really over.”
