Head of Amazon Mgm Studios Mike Hopkins honored Villeneuve as a “cinematic master” and admired his ability to deliver “unpleasant story.
“James Bond is in the hands of a great filmmaker filmmaker and we can’t wait to start next adventure at 007,” he said.
Pascal and Heyman added that it was always Villeneuve’s dream to make a movie in bond and “We’re lucky to have the hands of this unique filmmaker”.
It’s not clear if the next bony movie will be released as the search for the next artist to play titular spy.

Villeneneuve was expected to start shooting at Dune Messiah, the third movie of Dune Franchise, later this year with a potential release date of 2026.
