Dax Shepard agrees with fans who think she looks like she’s had plastic surgery.
Shepard, 51, said during the Monday, Jan. 12, episode of his “Armchair Expert” podcast that he noticed how “different” he looks today while watching. paternity with his i Kristen BellDaughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11.
“I’ll admit, I’ll be watching with my kids, like, paternitylet’s look with them And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, dude, I look so different,'” she told the guest Kumail Nanjiani. “It looks like I have some kind of jaw implant or something. There’s something where your neck gets thicker, it changes your whole (appearance).”
Nanjiani, 47, agreed, saying: “It really does. Body fat goes down. I think it just changes the shape of your face.”
Nanjiani is no stranger to accusations of having jaw implants. The comedian shut down plastic surgery rumors during his appearance on the podcast.
“People think I got jaw implants or something. I haven’t. I haven’t had any work done. All I did was, they got Botox. And then they said, ‘While you’re here, do you want to do your forehead, too?'” she explained. “And I did.”
However, Nanjiani said he would “never do it again”.

“I couldn’t move my eyebrows. And I have very expressive eyebrows. And I started a job. I was going to act in two months. And I was just terrified,” he recalled. “What if I can’t do it? Because the thing is, if you have to make faces, you also stop feeling those things.”
Nanjiani also admitted to receiving “microneedling”.
“But I want to make it clear: I don’t have jaw implants,” she told listeners.
Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Shepard got candid about receiving negative comments about her looks and being called “ugly” compared to Bell, 45.

“I’ve been with Kristen for 20 years and there have been hundreds of articles about, ‘Why is she with this guy?’ “Top 10 lists of girls with ugly boys,” he said. “I’ve dealt with it less now since the podcast, but for the first 12 or 13 years we were together, there were hundreds of these lists of ugly guys with pretty girls, and I’m always on it.”
Shepard said she’s had a few different reactions to those comments.
“I’m so hurt and insecure when you say that. Then I’m defensive and arrogant. I’m like, ‘Go meet my other friends. All have been beautiful. Fuck you, right? I have this defensive attitude,” he continued. “And then when I calm down, I get really into it. I’m like, you know, it’s really interesting. I think I know what’s going on. And it just sticks us in elementary school and school, which is like, there are strata. You were born into them. One does not have to migrate north or south. It’s morphed into this whole system that we’ve been trained in.”
Shepard also revealed that it’s often the men who comment his appearance.
“Guys are saying, ‘Kristen is with this ugly guy.’ They’re threatened,” he added. “And I think, shouldn’t that be encouraging? Even if that’s your conclusion, like this four got this 10, isn’t that life-affirming and positive? Like, doesn’t that say I could achieve anything? I thought it would be comforting for guys like me who look normal. I think it’s the opposite.”
Shepard concluded, “I can definitely see in the comments that guys are saying, ‘He’s so fucked up’ out there. Whenever I’m with Kristen in a photo, the boys come out strong. ‘This ‘mother of a bitch’. For the record, I am not on steroids. Unless you count testosterone as a steroid, which I guess maybe technically it is. I’m on testosterone.”
Bell and Shepard married in 2013 after six years of dating. Before their relationship, the actor was linked Briegh Morrison, Kate Hudson i Shauna Robertson.
