- Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Get 400% Pay Rise. This is after years of battles for higher wages. Higher salary in Netflix Documentary.
NFL cheerleaders generally won’t make a lot of money. But the Dallas Cowboys cheering team will be more on the currency of the 2025 season.
Cheerleaders revealed in the latest episode Lover of Americaa Netflix documentary about the squad, will increase growth by 400% from this year.
The Cowboys cheerleaders did not reveal tough numbers about wage increases. Nor did they discuss what they had done before.
However, this is the end of a long battle. In 2018, former cheerleader Erica Wilkins sued the team for an unfair salary, saying she was charged $7 an hour and received a flat fee of $200 per game. The case was settled in court the following year and the hourly wages did not increase significantly.
A former cheerleader Tell The New York Times She made $15 per hour and $500 per appearance in 2024. Cheerleaders with more experience earned higher incomes. This brings wages to $60 per hour and above.
The Netflix series has made the team new visibility, which has taken a slight weight in the financial struggles of its members in the first season, suggesting that many people need to work full-time, besides their responsibilities to the team. (This includes hours of rehearsals per week, 10 home games per season, halftime performances and special appearances.)
They do not get health insurance through the team, but they do have access to the team doctor and physical therapist.
“We got the contract and probably mistakenly thought it might be different just because of everything on TV,” cheerleader Kylie Dickson said during the show. “The world is telling us, ‘Girl, fight for more.'”
