The pontiff is “more bad than yesterday” and received blood transfusions, said the statement.
The Vatican says that 88-year-old alerts and his seat, but required “high-flow-flow-oxs oxygen” and his prognosis “remains monitored”.
Pope was treated for pneumonia in two lungs in Gemelli Hospital in Rome.
He first admitted 14th February after experiencing difficulties in breathing many days.
