The President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa puts police ministers Senzo Mchunu in an immediate “leaving left” after the allegations of organized crimes were made against him.
On a television’s live television television, Ramaphosa also announced a judicial commission to examine the claims, which he said to have harmed the council and threatened national security.
He added that the Professor of Law, Firoz Cachalia was appointed interim Police Minister.
Mchunau denied any wrong mistake, saying a statement he “stands ready to respond to accusations” against him.
In his speech, the President said the allegations against Mchunu, which included intervening in political and corruption investigations of political implementation agencies, “calling for an immediate investigation”.

The Commission will also review the current and former police officers, as well as members of the National Executive, as Ramaphosa said.
