Today Coanchor Craig Melvin and Lindsay Czariak Turned his office romance into the actual agreement.
“We met our television station, WRC in Washington DC, and had just returned from Beijing and he was hired,” Czariak explained during an episode of Today In November 2021. “I didn’t know him. He did not take the first step on the first day, but I went in and met during a commercial pause.”
One month after meeting in 2008, Czarniak hosted a charity gala and Melvin attended some others from NBC, for The Washington Post. He gave him a trip home later and the couple kissed in the kitchen of his apartment.
They continued to be seen accidentally for six months until Melvin told him that he wanted to take the next step, but Czarniak was hesitating in his relationship with a colleague. Ultimately, they went to an appointment and tied the knot in 2011. Melvin and Czariak welcomed son Delano in 2014 and daughter Sybil in 2016.

2008
Melvin and Czariak gathered on the set as they worked at NBC4 in Washington DC after Czariak welcomed a charity gala, shared a kiss in their apartment. The next morning, he recalled asking, “Oh, my God. What. . . I just did? “Melvin and Czariak continued to pursue a romance over the next six months, but did not define their relationship.
“I think that for a long time the work factor was more than a problem for me than it should have been because A., I did not realize what the possibility (of the relationship) and B., had not been in this position before,” Czarniak said in Washington Post in 2011. “I didn’t want to screw anything.”

Melvin called Czarniak in April 2009 and told her that he wanted to follow a relationship with her. “I thought,” he reminded The Washington Post in 2011. “And I said,” Listen, I want this to work. I don’t see why it shouldn’t work.
Czarniak added, “Basically it was like:” O You are out “. And I was like:” Then I’m out, because I can’t be -there. “

After maintaining his distance, Melvin asked Czarniak to get to know her for a drink and she agreed. “That night when we met, there was something he clicked. Melvin and Czariak welcomed Daughter Sybil. The couple explained in an interview with People At the time he presented himself with the nickname “Sibby”, short for brothers, so that Delano would call his sister while she was pregnant. But they ended up “falling in love with the name.”

Melvin was struck in the air when he was surprised by Czariak, his children, his parents, Lawrence and Betty Iand his brother Ryan over Today For his first day as a new coanchor of the show. “When I left this morning, the boys were in bed,” he joked, which Czarniak replied, “We fake it.”
