What these founders have in common is adopting the technology that has provided a huge shift in productivity so far, both at work and at home, and leveraging it to change the way we interact with the “fun” technologies we use everyday. From next-generation gaming and social media to the clothes we wear and the way the world around us, that’s it all.

While tech giants are incorporating some of these features, these founders believe that startups are best suited to shaping AI, personalizing consumer technology era. “Existing search engines, they are very important to existing stakeholders and existing revenue models,” said Wu, co-founder of Maps App Corner. “So Google Maps can’t really show you a lot of restaurants because they are yellow pages of the physical world…we can show you everything we want.”

These founders can also quickly understand how quickly consumer expectations change as AI improves. “We are becoming kings in our own world,” said Gold of social connector Gigi. “We want to get the right answer right now. Expectations are rising – we need to make products accordingly.”
