Celebrity hairdresser Kim Vo Dead, Tori Spelling pays tribute to Late Star


Tori Spelling has led the following tributes the death of celebrity hairdressers and ex Blowing LA reality star Kim Wo.

“I’m so sorry, he was such an amazing human. Full of light and love,” Spelling, 52, wrote to Kim’s husband. Adeel Vo-Khan, via Instagram on Saturday January 24.

Adeel previously shared the news that the stylist had “taken his last breath” after initially being diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2018.

“(Kim) fought bravely, winning many battles along the way and exceeding all medical expectations under the care of Dr. Lorenzo Piro and his amazing team at Angeles Clinic and Cedars-Sinai,” Adeel wrote. “In the end, God decided it was time for our angel on earth to come home.”

Adeel continued: “Kim kindly asked, in lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy following her death, that you please channel your love and efforts towards donations to the Kim Vō Foundation in support of hair, beauty and fashion creatives also affected by cancer.”

Us Weekly Kim’s rep has been contacted for comment.

A follow-up statement from Adeel touted the late stylist’s work with major brands such as L’Oréal and Schwarzkopf, which made him a “true icon in the hair and beauty industry,” her husband noted.

“He was loved not only by his family and friends, but also by the global hair community and millions of viewers who came to know him for both his artistry and his warmth,” explained Adeel. “Kim had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, welcomed and at home. Her guiding philosophy of ‘accessible luxury’ was central to everything she did. Beauty and glamor without pretension, barriers or exclusion.”

According to the memorial post, one of Kim’s “last wishes” was to “continue to help others” even after his cancer diagnosis.

The statement read: “(Kim) chose to focus on gratitude and purpose: “I’ve been incredibly lucky. I have experienced love, happiness and meaningful relationships on and off screen. I don’t need anything else, but I want to use the platform, knowledge and success I’ve worked so hard for to help others. Everything I’ve had, I’ve also been blessed by the communities I’m with in my life. celebrated with joy, positivity and, now, health vigilance,” he said, “This is the meaning of my life.”

Adeel vowed to continue raising support for “hair, beauty and fashion creators fighting cancer” on behalf of the Kim Vō Foundation.

“This is the legacy that Kim and I are committed to building with your support,” Adeel concluded. “We love you, we’re here for you, and we’ll fight for you.”

Kim was perhaps best known for judging the Bravo hairstyling competition Shear Genius next to the model Camila Alves and also celebrity stylist By Jonathan Antin. Shear Genius it aired on Bravo for three seasons between 2007 and 2010.

Apart from his work in front of the camera Shear GeniusKim worked behind the scenes of reality shows Extreme makeover i plain jane. He had most recently appeared on Paramount+’s celebrity hairstyling docuseries Blowing LAwho followed him to work at his trendy Kim Vo Salon in West Hollywood.

Many of Kim’s clients, friends and family paid tribute to her influential work via Instagram following the announcement of her death.

“I’ll never forget his kindness and how special I felt when I walked through the salon doors. That he’s flying high with the angels,” said the Emmy-nominated producer.Ashley Hamman he wrote “I feel so blessed to have known him and I send prayers for healing to all the hearts that loved him.”

TV presenter and influencer XiXi Yang she added: “Kim, you changed my life. I still remember walking into your beautiful salon at the Montage in Beverly Hills in 2012. I had fuzzy black hair for so long, but I wanted a change. I wanted something lighter, something more alive that reflected my personality. You saw it before I could say it. You took me lighter, added layers and somehow.

“I remember looking in the mirror after the color and cut, and I almost cried,” Yang, 36, continued. “I looked different, for the first time. That moment changed the trajectory of my life and my career. You’ve been family ever since. Thank you for all the love, care, belief and magic you’ve showered on me over the years.”
