Leonardo DiCaprio had fun at the 2026 awards
With his One battle after another success, DiCaprio was the butt of several jokes during the 2026 awards season, but he was seen laughing.
“Leo is here, thank God,” Chelsea Handler he said as he started toneighborhoods season in January 2026 at the Critics Choice Awards. “Leo almost didn’t make it tonight because he was stuck on a boat in St. Barts. It was like the Titanicbut worse, because Jeff Bezos was there.”
DiCaprio also had a brief interaction with the Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser when it was he raised during his monologue that same month.
“Leonardo DiCaprio is here for One Man Bun After Another,” Glaser said, bringing up the nominated film. “What was Leo in One Battle After Another? It’s crazy, so good. What a career you’ve had, countless iconic performances, you’ve worked with a great director, you’ve won three Golden Globes, an Oscar – the most important thing is that you achieved all of this before your girlfriend turned 30. I mean, it’s crazy.”
Glaser quickly apologized, calling the joke “cheap” before explaining his thought process.
“We don’t know anything else about you. There’s nothing else like opening up about you. I looked it up (and) the most detailed interview you’ve ever done was in Teen Beat magazine in 1991,” he asked. “Is your favorite food still ‘pasta and more pasta?’ Look, this is real.”
The camera panned to DiCaprio in the crowd nodding and giving Glaser a thumbs up.
