Britney Spears has sold the rights to his music catalog, Us Weekly can confirm
Spears’ deal is with Primary Wave, a music publishing company founded by an executive Lawrence Mestel in 2006. The sale price is unknown.
Documents obtained by we on Tuesday, February 10, reveals that Spears handed over 100 percent of the songs she wrote and recorded before December 30, 2025, including demos, physical tapes and digital files, plus all royalties. Primary Wave also now has the right to use Spears’ name, image and likeness to market and promote her catalog with her approval.
The archive includes all the songs that are part of the deal, from Spears’ biggest hits like “…Baby One More Time” and “Toxic” to previously unreleased tracks like “Intimidated” and “Whiplash.” Also includes remixes, instrumental covers, radio edits and collaborations like “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John and “Scream & Shout” with will.i.am as well as his Christmas song “My Only Wish (This Year)” and the Zoey 101 track “Follow Me”, which she co-wrote. (Spears’ sister, Jamie Lynnstarred in the Nickelodeon sitcom.)

Earlier this year, Britney said yes done acting in the United States.

Yes, and sometimes it’s embarrassing…but I walked through fire to save my life,” she wrote via Instagram in January alongside a photo of herself on a white piano. “I will never perform in the United States again for extremely sensitive reasons.”
Britney added that she was open to the idea of sharing the stage with her 19-year-old son Jayden. The singer also shares son Sean Preston, 20, with Federline. (Britney called Jayden a “genius” in a March 2025 Instagram post that featured a clip of him playing the piano.)
“I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon,” she continued, referring to Jayden. “He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! My God, little man!!!”
