Breeding Bates alum Katie Bates opening up on her recent pregnancy loss.
“I will spend the rest of my life missing you,” Bates, 25, wrote Instagram on Friday, January 17, sharing a montage of moments from her pregnancy.
Bates included footage of herself taking a pregnancy test and finding out she was positive before arranging a special way to tell her husband, Travis Clark. Later in the clip, Bates could be seen crying in a hospital room.
Bates, who shares two children with Clark, 24, is one Gil i Kelly Jo Bates’19 children The famous family offered their support for Katie in the comments section of her upload on Friday.
“There is no way to describe the pain of such a loss,” her parents replied. “Our hearts are all broken, but we know that one day we will meet this precious little one in glory!”
Katie Carlin’s siblings Zach, Josie, Lawson and Michaela also shared messages of support.
“Our hearts are broken for you Katie 💔🥺,” Zach, 37, who is currently expecting baby number 6 with the woman Whitney Bateshe answered “We love you so much and keep praying!”
Carlin, 27, added: “My heart is broken for you 💔 i love you sister!! 😭.”
Us Weekly broke the news in March 2020 that Katie and Clark entered into a courtship after meeting through mutual friends. Clark proposed a year later in April 2021 before the couple tied the knot in December 2021.
“This day was worth all the waiting, all the dreaming and even all the work of wedding planning, with its occasional stresses and anxieties,” Katie and Clark. explained exclusively we of their wedding day. “It’s been worth every moment, and we really can’t believe we’re married!”
They then continued, “We know we still have a lot to learn about marriage and relationships, but we’re excited to spend our lives learning and growing together. It’s an exciting day when you get to marry your best friend in life, and an even more special day when you get to share it with family and friends.”
Katie and Clark expanded their family two years later in 2023, welcoming daughter Hailey. His son, Harvey, followed the next year.
“Harvey arrived last night and we are already so in love,” the couple captioned a joint Instagram post in September 2024. “Right after he gave birth, they had to take him out because his oxygen levels dropped, which was really scary. I was able to hold Harvey for a short time before they took him away. Then they put me on life support for six hours. Harvey is a fighter and we are so proud of him!”
Harvey was discharged from the NICU unit several weeks later.
“We want to thank you for praying for little Harvey,” Katie wrote via their Instagram stories in early October 2024. “The messages of love and encouragement have meant the world to us! Thankfully, he was able to get off the oxygen and is now breathing on his own, which is a huge answer to prayer!”
