Braxton Berrios is defending himself after fans called him out for skipping his ex Alix Earle’s Dancing with the stars performances before splitting up.
taking on Instagram On Thursday, Dec. 11, Berrios, 30, appeared to poke fun at the drama surrounding his breakup by uploading a series of photos of himself and captioning it, “What did I miss?”
Fans quickly took to the comments section to respond. One follower replied: “Every Alix performance.”
The comment referred to Berrios’ absence from the crowd that cheered Earle, 24, as he competed in dancing with the stars’ season 34

In response, the Houston Texans wide receiver stated that he wanted to be there, but was unable to due to his NFL commitments.
“I would have been to all of them if I could, unfortunately I can’t travel like that in season,” Berrios wrote.
Earle and her Dancing with the stars partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, she eventually finished second on the reality show. They were defeated in first place by Robert Irwin and his DWTS partner, Whitney Carson, during the final on November 25.
Berrios did not attend the finale, but shared his support for Earle at the time via video message.

Berrios and Earle parted ways after two years of dating, multiple sources exclusively confirmed a Us Weekly on December 6.
“Most of their relationship was long distance and it was hard for them to navigate,” an insider said we. “They mutually agreed to the split.”
After being linked to Berrios in May 2023, Earle initially denied they were dating. Finally, she confirmed her relationship with the athlete a few months later, in November 2023.
A year later, Earle shared a tribute to Berrios to celebrate 12 months together.
“To the person who taught me to love with all my heart… happy 1 year ❣️ You’ve become so much more than my best friend and partner,” she wrote via Instagram for her birthday in November 2024. “I didn’t know I was capable of this kind of love and I feel like I’ve truly found my other half! I love you.”
Earlier this year, Earle opened up about her relationship with Berrios, revealing that they were planning a future together.
“We always talk about our future,” he said we in February “Right now, we’re so focused on our careers that we live in the moment and don’t rush into anything. I think that’s what’s great about being with Braxton, (he’s) not afraid of any kind of future.”
During an appearance on the “Hot Mess” podcast in September 2023, Earle opened up about the night they met during a Great Gatsby themed party in February of the same year.
“As we’re hanging around the bar, this guy comes up to me and he’s like, ‘Oh, you should really go talk to my friend over there,’ and he points at this guy. I’m like, ‘Yeah, okay, whatever,'” he said.
Earle explained: “I go right up to him, put my hand in his face and say ‘you’. He looks at me like I have six heads. And he’s like, ‘What?’ And I’m like, ‘You wanted to meet me.'”
