After Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Lisa Barlow abandoned name Ben Affleck as an excuse to get out of filming the reality show, the actor is stepping in.
Affleck, 53, shared his two cents about the drama during an interview with Access Hollywood which dropped on Friday, January 16.
“It is Real Housewives of Salt Lake Citycast member Lisa Barlow says she was with you at an event with her husband and couldn’t film. The cast members don’t believe her. So the question is, do you know who Lisa Barlow is? asked the interviewer.
Affleck looked confused as he replied, “I don’t want to get anybody in trouble or, I don’t know what this is, an event in Salt Lake City? Like, prove somebody right or wrong?”

Access Hollywood’The reporter clarified that Barlow, 51, never specified what exact event she was attending that made her skip her filming responsibilities, but it was likely an event held in Utah.
“I haven’t been to Utah in maybe 8, 9, 10 years, I don’t know,” Affleck said. “It doesn’t look familiar to me and I don’t remember anything.
Although The Rip The star thought it was unlikely she was at the event Barlow was referring to, noting that there was a possibility they might have crossed paths and it just crossed her mind because of so many people attending these types of events.
“I don’t want to embarrass her because I say hi to a lot of people, I don’t want to be the jerk who’s like, I met you… You don’t remember everybody you meet,” Affleck said.
The Gone Girl The star concluded: “I don’t think I’m qualified to comment on this, whatever this raging controversy is.”

It’s like, a big thing. I think what people forget is that I have a very full life. Because I keep it kind of private. And like, I won’t name names, but I’ll be with Ben (Affleck) and Blake (Lively).”
He added: “I’ll be with Ben Affleck and you’ll be with Bronwyn.”
In addition to blaming Affleck for his absence RHOSLCBarlow has also brought up the A-list in the past.
After the news of Affleck’s divorce Jennifer Lopez in August 2024, Barlow she shared a photo of herself with Affleck via his Instagram story.
“I always throw a big house party,” Barlow wrote alongside the Instagram story, which was set to Lopez’s song “If You Had My Love.”
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024. The former couple initially tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, before celebrating with a bigger event in Georgia on August 20, 2022.
