Bachelor Grant Ellis jokes that he’s still good with sex amid the journey of celibacy


The Baccalaureate‘s Grant Ellis he’s ready to kiss and tell about his journey to celibacy.

Weeks after revealing on social media that she will abstain from sex until she finds the right partner, Ellis, 31, shared her insight into her decision.

“I’ve been in two (relationships) my whole life. When I do, I put everything into it,” she shared on the Friday, Oct. 24 episode of PodcastOne’s “When Reality Hits.” podcast. “I want it to be meaningful and I want it to last, so I’m doing my best to hold off until I find my right person.”

After being eliminated on Jenn Tran’s season of The bacheloretteEllis was named the leader of the season 29 of The Baccalaureate. Although he was engaged Juliana Pasquarosa during the end of March, the duo broke up three months later.

“I’m doing my best and I want my next relationship to be the best,” Ellis shared with the podcast host. Brittany Cartwright. “If you’re not that, I just won’t do it.”

When Cupid strikes, Ellis joked that he’ll be ready to connect with his forever partner.

“When we have sex, it will be great,” she said with a laugh. “I’m fine, but I’m waiting.”

On October 12, Ellis surprised some fans when he has posted a video on social media confirming that he was celibate. In his post, the former professional basketball player opened up about his personal decision to wait for sex.

“I’m the most recent Bachelor, so I feel like I have a little bit of authority in the dating arena because the show is about dating,” she explained. “I think finding something serious, finding something worth pursuing, is very difficult, especially here in Los Angeles and big cities like New York.”

Although choosing to be celibate can be “difficult,” Ellis believes he is making the right decision for himself.

“I’m a man,” he shared. “I definitely have my impulses, my desires, and I’m just being completely transparent. I’ve made mistakes in the past.”

According to Ellis, what keeps him on the journey is his relationship with God.

“Mostly it’s because of my faith… God knows the desires of your heart and knows what makes you happy,” she explained. “The same God who knows how to make you happy, would know how to give you a partner without having to try things.”

This isn’t the first time Ellis has been open about his views on sex and intimacy.

During an interview with the former bachelor of ABC Nick ViallEllis said he handled his fantasy suites with care and understanding.

“People will think I’m a player or this or that, or that I’m trying to get my rocks off,” Ellis. said a March episode of “The Viall Files” podcast “I wasn’t. I went into it with real intentions and before that, I was celibate for a year. I came out of a seven-year relationship and I was hurting, so, like, sex is great, but I wanted to make sure it was with someone who was my person and then we could f*** all the time.”
