“What’s she like in real life?” Ricki gushed via her Instagram Stories on Friday, January 23, sharing a selfie with newborn Romi from a hospital bed.
Ricki also shared photos of Romi sleeping and taking her first bath.
Ricki, Maynard Johnson’s daughter with late ex-fiancé Ricky Hendrickhe announced it she was expecting a baby in August 2025. Weeks later, Ricki asked her 39-year-old mother that she had “a baby out of wedlock.” (Ricki has not publicly revealed the identity of Romi’s father.)

“Very much against it,” Maynard Johnson he sarcastically joked in a social media clip shared September 2025. “I can’t believe anyone would ever do that. Unforgivable.”
Ricki was in on the joke, pretending Maynard Johnson was “so upset” about becoming a grandmother at 39.
“My mom is really so devastated, she’s really upset,” Ricki quipped, sharing pictures of the large amount of baby gear Maynard Johnson already bought for her grandson. “She’s not at all excited about me having a baby. She’s angry, actually. She’s really angry. She can’t even look at me. She can’t stand it at all. She’s angry.”
Ricki also sincerely praised her mother for her support.
“These are all things that she got for herself and she’s not done,” he said of Maynard’s gifts. “It’s stuff in your house too, not even mine.”
Ricki revealed earlier on Friday that she had given birth.
“Best day ever,” the new mom gushed via Instagramsharing photos of her c-section.
Maynard Johnson and her husband, Tyler Johnsonwere presumably present at the hospital, according to other post-birth photographs.
“Today we became grandparents!!” Johnson, 39, wrote via Instagram. “The feeling is inexpressible 🤍🤍🤍. This is love.”
In a second post shared via his Instagram stories, Johnson said I had “no words” after meeting little Romi.
