Investigators were seen removing a fence cover from a septic tank behind Nold GuthrieAt home in Arizona more than a week after her disappearance.
Drone footage appears on Fox News On Sunday, Feb. 8, it was revealed that authorities were in the backyard of Nancy’s residence around 11 a.m. and were using a stick to probe inside the tank. It is not clear what they were looking for or why they decided to conduct the search at this time.

When they had finished dinner together, Annie’s husband, Tomasso Cionihe allegedly drove Nancy to his home in Catalina Foothills where he dropped her off at approximately 9:48 p.m. He was reported missing the next day after he failed to show up for church.

On Feb. 2, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos explained exclusively we “something unusual happened” at his house that night and that they believed someone had “taken” him after he fell asleep.
“He reports to me every day, sometimes multiple times, about different search and rescue operations. And we rarely report homicide,” Nanos said at the time. “But this one came across information that I was concerned about, that I just thought, ‘We need to do this from two angles.’ I need to do the search and rescue team (and) do their mission. But I need to bring my homicide team because there’s something not right here. And I need them to start their criminal side of the investigation and we’ll meet.”
Since her disappearance, both local and federal law enforcement have embarked on a desperate search for the 84-year-old with few leads as to who might have taken her or why. While a supposed a rescue letter was sent to several media outlets calling for $6 million in bitcoin to be paid for Nancy’s safe return by Monday, February 9, it has yet to be confirmed if the note is legitimate.
