“You’ve been dating (for) a year and a half and if you have doubts about Audrey moving here, what does that tell you?” Katie says. “To be honest, if you’re not gung-ho, what are you?”
Austen is visibly surprised by her sister’s outspokenness and asks, “Why are you? sounding aggressive?”
“Because I love Audrey,” Katie replies. “I think you should be feeling this bad right now.”
Austen later tells the cameras that she has “some reservations” about her relationship with Audrey, noting, “Like I had some reservations about having cats, for God’s sake. They’re reservations like, ‘Wait, could this be the last next step in my life?'”
Austen is left speechless again when Katie asks if there’s a “benefit to stepping back” from romance, asking, “Do I miss you enough? Is that really what I want?”

Austen takes a breath and then replies, “Well, I don’t want to put a dark cloud on us hanging out tomorrow, but I understand there’s a very tough conversation in our immediate future,” after noting earlier in the meal that Audrey was coming to town and he was “excited” to see her.
Elsewhere in the video, Austen gives a little more insight into why she wasn’t pressuring Audrey to move or think about moving, comparing the situation to a space phenomenon.
“It’s like a meteor coming toward Earth. It’s six months from now, you don’t have to worry about that meteor for six months,” Austen tells the cameras. “I’m just enjoying it even though I know it’s there and it’s coming.”
The proverbial meteor eventually crashed into Austen and Audrey, who broke up before season 11 Southern charm released in November 2025.
Austen and Audrey it started coming out in December 2023but it wasn’t until February 2024 that fans saw their romance. At the time, the Trop Hop beer founder shared a series of photos via Instagram of a group trip to Mexico with Audrey as his date.
After a year together, Austen exclusively said we in December 2024 that he was in no rush to settle down.
“It’s an interesting thing, but we’re certainly not rushing anything and we’re just enjoying ourselves,” she shared at the time, saying the distance between them was “a quick little ride. It’s nice.”
Fans began to wonder if there was one trouble in paradise in the summer of 2025, months before Austen confirmed the couple divide a we.
“I don’t care if it’s a spoiler, Audrey and I never had any kind of ‘damn’ moment that happened to cause anything (bad) to happen between us,” he said in November 2025, explaining that viewers would see their problems on screen.
Austen teased, “It’s very difficult. At first, I loved the fact that she lived (in North Carolina) and I lived (in South Carolina), and we try to see each other as often as possible, and then it gets to the point where it’s like, ‘We’ve been dating for a while, who’s moving where and when?’ You’re going to see that kind of development.”
Southern charm airs Wednesdays on Bravo at 9pm ET.
