An artist who restored a fresco in a church in central Rome featuring Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni has deleted his artwork after it sparked outrage. The story began on Saturday when the daily La Repubblica revealed that the face of a freshly restored winged figure in the Church of San Lorenzo in Lucina closely resembled Meloni.
