Anti-crime protests in Mexico City injured 120 people, most of them police




Several thousand people marched in Mexico City on Saturday to protest crime and corruption after the fatal shooting of popular Michoacán Mayor Carlos Manza. Although initially launched by self-styled “Gen Z” influencers, the protest – which injured around 120 people, most of them police officers – has since gained strong support from older supporters of the country’s opposition parties.
