
Amanda Seyfried revealed the unusual way Channing Tatum pranked him on the set of Dear John.
Seyfried, 40, and Tatum, 45, played lovers in the 2010 romantic war drama, based on Nicholas Sparks‘ Novel from 2006 with the same name, but the atmosphere was much more cheerful on the set.
In an interview with Deadline released Thursday, Jan. 15, the Oscar nominee was asked about one of her favorite backstage memories from her career, and she immediately recalled her dynamic with Tatum.
“I don’t know if it’s my favorite, but it’s fun to talk about because it just shows the relationship I have with Channing Tatum and Dear JohnSeyfried said.
She continued: “He and I played the whole movie in a super fun way. It’s really, really fun and we had a great time. He peed on my leg once without me knowing.”
Seyfried reiterated, “He peed on my leg on the beach, and I didn’t notice at first, and then I was like, ‘Oh, that’s why he’s so close to me.'”
The Will of Ann Lee The star also shared how he saved one of the film’s crew members from an embarrassing moment.
“There was a coffee cup, like, very close by and, like, it kind of got into the coffee cup, and it ran away while I was screaming and one of the makeup artists grabbed it and was about to drink it,” she said. “Well, I saved her.”

Seyfried previously spoke about her and Tatum’s easy chemistry on set in an interview with And! news.
“Channing and I have a very similar set demeanor. We don’t take anything too seriously, but we’re shooting a very heavy film, about love and romance. It’s a tearjerker, so we like to play,” she said.
At the time, Seyfried even called Tatum her “favorite costar so far.”
Seyfried rose to fame in the 2000s with roles in bad girls, Great Love, Veronica Mars i Oh mom!going on to star in movies like now Dear John i Letters to Juliet.
In recent months, the actress has expressed her desire review it oh mom! paper.
In September 2025, Seyfried told Deadline: “I think it’s happening. We all said, yes, definitely! It’s our way of marketing and getting support… Big movies like this are all about studio time.”
At the Golden Globes 2026 Sunday, January 11, Stellan Skarsgård shared an update on the sequel exclusively with Us Weekly.
“A lot of people are working on it to get it back,” Skarsgård revealed we.
Skarsgård also assured we this Meryl StreepDonna’s character, Donna, might return in the third film. (Donna was killed in Mamma Mia! Here we go againalthough Streep appeared in dream sequences, and Lily James portrayed a younger version of Donna in flashbacks.)
“Everybody can be brought back into the movies,” Skarsgård, 74, said. “In the movies, it’s great!”
“She’s not dead, you know! Meryl Streep (as Donna) is not dead!” he added.
