Alison Oliver has no interest in discussing their relationship status, and that includes those rumors linking her with Josh O’Connor.
“I just try not to get involved with it and focus on being an actor,” Oliver, 28, said Elle United Kingdom in a profile published on Friday, January 14, in which she refused to talk more about her rumored romance with O’Connor, 35.
Oliver, however, predicted that his 2026 would be full of special moments with his inner circle.
“I just want to make sure I’m nurturing relationships with all the people I love, being kind, listening to people and just growing and being curious,” she told the channel. “Life is hard and busy, but I think those are the things that matter most.”

Months after Oliver and O’Connor’s alleged red carpet debut, the actress was coy about where they stood.
“I’m not going to answer questions about that, if that’s okay,” Oliver he said The Times of London in a September 2025 interview. “I’m just making a little rule for myself, but thank you. Your personal life is your personal life. I’m just choosing not to talk about it.”
According to Oliver, it’s especially difficult to learn to navigate an onslaught of attention on your private life in the midst of your success.
“Essentially, with your job as an actor, you’re not really focusing on yourself, you’re focusing on this other character,” Oliver explained at the time. “It’s always a weird turn when all of a sudden you feel this focus on you and who you are. I remember at first I was really like, ‘Oh shit, I don’t really know (who I am), so I don’t know who to be in these environments.'”
While talking to sheOliver reiterated that he has little interest in the fame aspect of his Hollywood career.
“That part isn’t important,” Oliver stressed to the magazine. “I often don’t know why I have (social media) because my job is to make other people think I’m someone else.”
Oliver will play Isabella Linton next Esmeralda Fennellis planned reimagining of Wuthering Heights.
“He’s a very repressed character who’s desperate for love,” Oliver said of the upcoming film. “Emerald’s take on Isabella’s story is the opposite of Cathy’s; there’s a looseness to her. Like she falls apart. There’s something so powerful about being understated.”
Fennell, 40, is best known for directing Promising young woman i Saltburnhe recently turned his attention to adapting Emily Brontë’s best-selling novel.
“It’s how Emerald experienced the book when she read it as a teenager, so it’s not what’s on the page,” Oliver added of the new version of Wuthering Heights. “I don’t think that’s what it’s trying to be. You’re never going to get bored with an Emerald Fennell movie. I think it’s going to make noise, but you never know how things are going to be received. I’ve learned that it’s really not my problem to worry about that.”
Wuthering Heights, also starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, hits theaters on February 13.
