If you are anything like that wethen you’re probably obsessed Ali Larterlooks at Landman — and now the actress is revealing some major secrets about her character’s wardrobe.
“I want to know what push-up bra you’re wearing because breasts are always right,” host Amanda Hirsch asked Larter, 49, on the Tuesday, January 27, episode of the “Not skinny, but not fat” podcast
“What’s sneaky is the On Gossamer, because then you can put cups in it and it’s really neat,” Larter replied, referring to the popular underwear brand. “And it’s very Victoria’s Secret. We do a little bit of Fleur Du Mal, we do a little bit of Agent Provocateur, so I can match my bra with my dress, obviously. We go through different ones and also, like, what fits the look best. But there’s always cups in there. There’s always a lot of things to get them beautiful and tall and mature.”
Hirsch noted how “different” Larter’s style is from her character Landman, Angela Norris, the ex-wife of Billy Bob ThorntonTommy Norris, who reconciles his relationship with the oil magnate. For Larter, dressing the part has been part of the fun.
“I think a big part of this character was found through that because she loves color,” he explained. “There’s a lot of color, a lot of oranges and blues, and then glitter, glitter. My hair is dyed so, so blonde for the show, and I’m spray tanned, and there’s all these pieces that come in and it’s got a lot of animal prints.”
While Larter has been serving up glamorous wildlife-inspired fashion looks on the show, she confessed her husband, Hayes MacArthurnot a big fan of his character’s particular style choice. (The couple have been married since 2009 and share children Theodore, 15, and Vivienne, 11.)
“My husband hates animal prints. He doesn’t love them. And it’s so funny because that’s what defines me about Angela,” the Heroes actress shared. “When I put on the leopard suit, you know, I feel a different kind of power. When I’m in her clothes and I’m completely done, I just find solace that I can just go and unleash her on the world.”

But it’s not just Angela’s clothes that help Larter fully transform into her fun-loving persona. Nailing the Texas accent was just as important to Legally Blonde actress at Taylor Sheridan drama series
“The accent had to be something where you knew it wasn’t coming from a place of privilege compared to Cami, Demi MooreThe character in this one, which is this woman who just comes from wealth,” Larter explained. “You can feel a difference. So you can see different little intonations in the accents.”
The podcast episode came after Larter admitted he wasn’t a fan filming bikini scenes.
“I don’t think there’s an actress alive who says, ‘Woo! I have a bikini scene!'” she said. people on Monday, January 26. “Nobody wants to do it.”
Larter said she spends a lot of time “fighting” her insecurities and “anxiety” about “putting on that bikini and getting into those scenes.”
