Alexandra Kay He has seen a lot in his decade more in the music industry, but nothing has compared to the scene on a stage Jelly roll Concert.
“In a matter of minutes, it was passing Morgan Wallen, Snoop dogg, Kelsea Ballerini, Ernest – It was the night (Jon) Bon Jovi There were there? ”Kay, 33, said exclusively Use weekly. “Everyone was there!”
Kay opened in Jelly Roll, 40, to his Tour beautifully broken Last year and an explosion passed, but this year is the starter, after the starting shot Cupid is a vowel tour On Sunday, February 23.
“There was a part of me that had been there for so long that I didn’t know that I would never put a program like this,” she said Us of the new route, which ends in Sant Lluís in June. “So I’m really grateful and I can’t wait for everyone to see it. We will interpret four new songs from the record.”
The tour is named after its most recent simple, “Cupid’s a Cowgirl”, which fell on Friday, February 21. Kay said that the song came out of a writing session where he was thinking about how to do something more “fun and happy” than his last album, which was mainly referring to his divorce. (Was divided by his ex -husband in 2022.)

“I was in a very happy place and I still am,” he recalled. “I think it was my first time I went in and trusted I want to move forward and I want to put it All I have ever metMy divorce record, behind me. Everyone comes in with the same kind of concepts for you when you release A divorce record. … and it was my first time it is like: “You know, I really want to move away -me of that.”
She got, because “Cupid’s a Cowgirl” is a life -life -life imprisonment that begins with the lines: “He has a gun in his pocket / out of his blood in his blood / peekin” a beak. “”
“We were jumping on sofa, shouting, having fun -us,” Kay said Us of writing the track. “I think we have bothered all the others (session) that passed (the study) that day and I am totally good with that.”
“Cupid is a cowboy” is already out. Before hitting the road over her Cupid is a vowel tourKay shared more Secrets behind the scenes From life to the road:
Ritual Pre-Show
I have a nebulizer, so I’m always warming up my vocal cords. Bebo, like, 10 bottles of water before acting, so I have to get them all day. I just warmed up. I usually go live (on social networks) while I make my makeup so I can talk to everyone and explain to where we will go. And usually the people of the people who wait for me to come out are like: “When do you leave?”
Apart from the fact that I have more a post-show ritual, I think, it is only food. I hope until I leave the stage and then fill my face. I would say pre-show, I have a protein drink. And then post-show, I’m usually eating chicken wings. I know this sounds crazy, but every time they are like, “What do you want for the back food?” I am like: “You only find a place that has chicken wings.” And usually this is what I eat.

Postparty ideal
My ideal back is showering -me immediately after the show, enter my bunk, open my book to my kindle, maybe Crochet a little, see all my stories (Instagram) again and then sleep . This is my ideal night. Especially when I was on tour with Jelly Roll, I didn’t have many because they have a real rear, very, very fun. But I’m like a heart grandmother.
Their most blatant tourist experience
Probably being a backstage when I opened Jelly to Bridgestone Arena (in Nashville), because in minutes Morgan Wallen, Snoop Dogg, Kelsea Ballerini, Ernest – was the night (Jon) Bon Jovi? I’m not kidding, Bert KreiferEach comic book you could think, Jeffree StarEveryone was there. And it was like: “This is the craziest experience of having all these people in one place.” But that’s just jelly. Everyone loves her, you know? So you never know who you will run into.
As the nerves soothe
I pray, every time. No matter if it is three people or if it is a stage. I get nervous every time, but I like it. I think that means I still care and I still love it so much and I want it to be great for the fans there. When you stop putting -nervous, it is a bit a sign that you are asleep. And I’m far from that, so I’m still happy with these nerves.
Lucky charm
I usually have a cross somewhere. And if not, I have a tattoo on the wrist, so God is always with me everywhere. I also play with my boyfriend ((Rocko Beall)). He is my (music director) and my guitarist. So I guess I could say that I have my lucky charm on stage with me every night.
Favorite song to play live
)Eternal“, Which is strange to say -because it is my most emotional song and everyone is very excited in the crowd. But there is only something that happens when I play this song. There is a universal healing that occurs in the room And you can hear a fall passer every time. When I sing it but I’m Taking advantage of these emotions and this place to try to make people who are going through -they understand that I also had it and I did it out the other side.
Most embarrassing moment
I had a shameful moment (The Jelly Roll Tour) in which the last minute asked me to sing a song, and I went up there and I got it dirty because I went into the wrong part. Jelly’s most favorite is to keep you on your toes. At the last minute, it will come and it will be like: “Hey, ak, we will not do” friends in low places “tonight. You will. OK, we will see ourselves the 30th.” I am “yes never sing in my life. ” So it was a bit embarrassing. That one is on the Internet somewhere if anyone wants to find it!
The most appreciated memory
I always have a magnet everywhere we go, especially when we were on our European tour last year. And now, Rocko and I … we will strain and do something, only the two, and our most recent thing is to see Broadway shows or out of Broadway shows because we are both theater nerds. We love it, so we try to see a show everywhere we go. So, not only now I have my collection of magnets from Germany and Holland and everywhere we play, I also have a collection of magnets from all the shows we have seen when we are on tour. So I’ll have to make a bigger fridge!
