Airbus shares fall on report of quality problems with A320 aircraft

Shares of the European aerospace giant Aerodrome It fell 8% on Monday morning, following reports that the company had discovered an industrial quality problem with dozens of A320-family aircraft.

Defects affecting the aircraft’s fuselage panels are delaying some deliveries but will not be immediately apparent once the aircraft in service has been reached, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources.

Airbus was not immediately available for comment when contacted by CNBC.

Airbus shares were brought to the bottom of the European stoxx 600 index by News.
